Why subscribe?

Because you feel pain, and in these writings you are unburdened from pretending not to. Only human here, not super- or sub-. Here I reverence pain to draw you into reverence of your own, of others’, and of the bridging ache in seeing another’s pain more clearly, trusting these sensations to not swallow us whole. It is in tender acknowledgement of pain that possibilities for wholeness are lit. So let’s talk about all that’s below the surface when you crank up that polite-society smile. Let’s bring gentleness to the sufferings general conversations dismiss as “too much” or “too heavy”. Personal loss, weights of systemic oppression, surviving abuse, chronic illness, mental illness and more - there is so much being lived that’s worth bringing a written companion to. This is crafted to be just that.

Essays are the constant and additions of other forms (be it poetry, short story, etc.) will be at my whim as inspiration flows. One can only hold an inhale for so long, and as you sit with these works there will be no need, You Tender Breathing Thing
